保険事故
保険事故は保険事件とも言われ、保険契約で約定された保険金の支払に関する事象について用いられる用語です。
つまり保険事故とは、保険会社がが被保険者に対して、てん補責任（保険金を支払う義務）が生ずる事故のことをいいあわらしています。
具体的には保険者がその事実の発生を条件として保険金の支払を約定した偶然な事実（出来事、事故、事件または危険などともいう）をいい、火災、交通事故、人の死傷などがその例といえるでしょう。
