官公庁等共済組合一般資金貸付保険とは、組合員が住宅を購入する際に受けた融資に対する債務の返済が行われない場合に、融資をした共済組合などが被る損害を担保する保険のことをあらわします。
共済組合とは、国家公務員等共済組合法、地方公務員等共済組合法等に基づいて設立された共済組合、
または、地方自治体の条例に基づき設立きれた互助会等の法人（保険契約者、被保険者）を指します。
官公庁等共済組合住宅資金貸付保険ともいわれます。
これと同種の保険として、
資金使途が一般資金貸付（結婚資金や旅行資金など住宅資金以外の生活資金への使途を目的への貸付）の場合を対象とした、
官公庁等共済組合一般資金貸付保険というものもあります。
